2009 2010 MEN'S FASHION Fashion trends

Freja Beha Erichsen brings her cool-factor to the latest issue of Vogue Russia, in a shoot called I Remember. In several shots Freja is sporting a trend that we're coming to see a little more of: exposed midriff. Rather than more revealing versions of the trend however, what's taking off is high-waisted bottoms worn with cropped tops for just a peek of midriff.

a hint of lingerie, New York

While there are many ways to go all out with the lingerie as outerwear trend, sometimes the subtlest interpretations are just as effective. The Sartorialist captured a deliberate hint of lace beneath a low-cut singlet, a relaxed summer look that plays softly to the lingerie trend.

Julie & Julia movie tickets

While the first 200 guests to attend High Fashion, High Tea already have their Julie & Julia double-passes in hand, the rest of you of course won't want to miss out. Starring Amy Adams as Julie Powell and Meryl Streep as the legendary American chef Julia Child, Julie & Julia intertwines the lives of two women as they find their way through food and cooking. By all accounts clever, funny, moving, and delicious, Julie & Julia is unmissable.

Town Hall Parade 4

From the very beginning of the fourth of the official catwalks held during 2009's Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) there was a seemingly collective effort for most of the labels to lean towards one of the this year's more subtle trends fashion year; the tribal nomad. The trend, which has seen a very steady following in menswear recent years courtesy of labels such as Damir Doma and Julius, was reinterpreted into women's wear.

Hitting the second catwalk of second of the official Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) fashion parades, Dhini opened with a march and salute that proved that the military fashion trend is equally as strong for Spring/Summer 2009/2010 in Melbourne as it has been elsewhere.
